What's going on in our Community
SERVPRO of Macon
SERVPRO of Macon takes great pride in being a part of the Macon community. We understand that communities like ours hold America together. We want to do our part to ensure the Macon community thrives by helping those less fortunate, keeping the area safe and making our community the best it can be. Our SERVPRO of Macon franchise is a family owned and operated company. We feel like our business is a part of our family as well. To show our appreciation for our employees, we have a monthly breakfast to celebrate any staff member's birthday that falls within that month. We also started an annual fall festival for employees to bring their families and invite their friends out to our SERVPRO warehouse for a night filled with moonwalks, bonfires, music, food, hay rides, and live demonstrations from the Macon Fire Department, the Macon Police Department, and the SWAT team. Our festival has grown from just our staff members and their families to now including all of our clients and their families as well. It serves as a way for us to show our appreciation for their dedicated loyalty and continued local business. In past years, we have partnered up with various local businesses to support charities right here in Macon, Georgia. In 2010 & 2011, we partnered with Dunwody Insurance to sponsor a local Macon family for Christmas through the Macon Rescue Mission. In 2011, we sponsored the Macon Kiwanis Club at their Teen Drunk Driving Rodeo. For the past four years, SERVPRO of Macon has hosted an annual golf tournament benefiting a local charity. 100% of the proceeds raised at our event goes directly to an organization. In 2009, our benefiting charity for our golf tournament was the Imagine A Cure organization. In 2010 & 2011, we donated our proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia. Just this past year in 2012, we raised over $1500 for the Bibb County March of Dimes Foundation! We even formed a SERVPRO of Macon "team" through the March of Dimes and walked in the March for Babies event back in April 2012. We have also partnered with the Wild Wings Cafe of Macon this year and sponsored a tent at their golf tournament as well as played which rasied money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. SERVPRO of Macon also supports the Keep Macon- Bibb Beautiful Commission by adopting a "spot" here in town and cleaning it once a quarter. Our adopted spot is located on Riverside Drive across from The Shoppes at RiverCrossing. Our staff members meet on a Saturday morning every three months to pick up trash and recycle large scraps of metal found cluttering our area. We won the 2015 Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission Adopt-A-Spot Award.
